Mix of the Day - Ian O'donovan

I've been following Ian O'donovan (https://www.discogs.com/artist/1799396-Ian-ODonovan), (https://ianodonovandj.bandcamp.com/releases) for quite some time now and he recently just released an album on bandcamp. With this in mind this will be my last post of the year, I'll be taking a haitus and focusing on my new project called Resistance Radio (https://www.facebook.com/Resistance-Radio-104830701441270). Where I'll be featuring everything from bandcamp, no spotify playlist no beatport no traxsource and hopefully I'll be able to find more awesome artists, mixes and free stuff to share with you as I take a more underground approach. Through out my career as a DJ for the last 20 years the most important part of it was music knowledge. Now let me explain why, it's important to be able to play the right kind of music at the right venue.  You can't play rocking EDM at a restaurant when people are eat or vice versa. So it's really important to have music knowledge.  Now there are a few websites to find music: 1. Beatport -  https://www.beatport.com/ 2. Traxsource -  https://www.traxsource.com/ 3. Junodownload -  https://www.junodownload.com/ 4. Bandcamp -  https://bandcamp.com/   (Which I'm using mostly to find music not release on the above sites) Which will set you apart from other DJs. and many more, you should really consider buying music as it helps the artist who produce them. From these sites you can learn about different artist and their style of music (which I will touch on in my next post.
